Cosmic Mix

In Europe’s dark discotheques in the late 70s and early 80s “Italo” disco was the music of choice. To be honest a lot of it was cheesy crap, but some of it sounds as fresh today as it was back then. Ceefax B has collected a few old skool synth classics for your listening pleasure. I’m not sure of the exact definition of Italo, not all of the songs below are strictly qualify but that’s fine by me. A couple of the tracks sound a bit dated, but I think that doesn’t stop them being great, like the Donna Summer hit State of Independence, which has an all star chorus featuring Michael Jackson, Brenda Russell, James Ingram, Dionne Warwick, Kenny Loggins, Lionel Richie and Stevie Wonder.
